Free CPR Training for Schools

Welcome to
Little LifeSavers

Simple, scripted bystander-CPR skill sessions to equip and empower tomorrow's men & women to save a life

We offer free bystander CPR training sessions to schools during term-time.

Our sessions are:

  • in schools during the school day only
  • for students in school years 5-8 (ages 10-13)
  • video supported with a 70-minute face-to-face practical session
  • each 70-minute practical session is for up to:
    • 60 students with 3 instructors
    • 30 students with 2 instructors

Volunteers never teach alone

Join and support us to help create a nation of LifeSavers

Little LifeSavers volunteers do not need to have any CPR qualifications or previous experience because our session follows a script.

By demonstrating the skills to children and helping hem to practise, they build confidence in their own ability to help a collapsed casualty. In this way we create 2-tiers of bystander rescuers in a community

If you’d like to support us but work full time, you can join as a fundriaser ambassador so we can be here next year or you can buy us a coffee to sponsor a new Little LifeSaver

Each year, about 24,000 cardiac arrests happen at home. Would your children know what to do if the casualty was you?

Our sessions are volunteer delivered. Volunteers are:

  • over 18 years old
  • DBS checked
  • deliver sessions to local schools in groups of 3.
  • are trained and supported to deliver our scripted session only

50% of cardiac arrests are witnessed by a bystander. Would you know what to do if that bystander was you?

We don’t teach outside schools or offer any formal or accredited training. Our aim is simply to share these very simple skills with as many as possible and volunteering with us helps adults to practise through showing and helping the children

To date, we've trained over 20,000 children; 2 of whom have saved a life, as has one of our volunteers

I enjoyed it and I liked doing the actual CPR on the models.

Lily PUPIL

The session was extremely well run, the children thoroughly enjoyed it. It was lovely to see the children so engaged. I would highly recommend using this charity for teaching children in school. It was a fantastic workshop, the team ran it so efficiently, the children really enjoyed taking part. It was lovely to all of the children so engaged. The skills are taught in such a clear way. We look forward to doing it again soon.

I feel that now that I’ve done that training I know that out there I don’t need to be worried if something happens to someone because I could help.

The children were completely engaged and benefited from the training. The training was well delivered and engaging for all.

Teacher Feedback TEACHER

The opportunity for the pupil’s to experience life-saving techniques ‘hands-on’ was most beneficial because it made the theory real! The team encouraged pupils questions and provided well-considered answers.

Watching the children learn about this important life skill was an absolute pleasure; the instructors pitched the level just right and the children were completely engaged and eager to learn throughout. The session was well-resourced and gave children a real hands-on experience that will no doubt stay with them for a long time to come. Only a week after the training, one of our Year Five pupils put their knowledge into action to help her little sister who was choking on a crisp. Thank you Little Lifesavers for creating a true little lifesaver!

Our session was developed by senior clinicians with extensive experience in resuscitation and is designed to be learned and delivered widely, aiming to share basic skills and knowledge that could help save a life.

By joining our charity, volunteers learn and then practise bystander CPR skills for themselves through teaching it to the children, which increases their confidence to use them if they need to

And so creates life savers today – through our volunteers AND tomorrow- through our children

Charity Number: 1169176
